Seven New Homes On Thomas Court
The Jackson Homes Project resulted in the construciton of 7 new single family homes on Thomas Court in Lincoln Heights that were completed in the summer of 2006. The homes have all been sold to first time home buyers with the assistance of development and affordability subsidies from the Ohio Housing Finance Agency and Hamilton County Department of Community Development. Total Appraised Value of the seven homes is $1,159,000 which has significantly added to the Village's tax base.
Two models were constructed: a 1400 square foot, 3 bedroom ranch and a 1785 square foot, 3 or 4 bedroom 2-storey. The Jackson Home Project converted 2 acres of formerly unproductive land in the Martin Luther King Estates subdivision into a productive asset for the village and provided quality, affordable, home ownership opportunities to first time home buyers that are new residents to the community.
